Recently, my BEST girlfriend in Guinea moved away (contract ended). And thus, I have begun to branch out into the expat community. There seem to be a few kinds of expats, namely, those would like it, and those who don’t. I was talking to a gentleman last night, recounting the story of a woman that lived in Conakry for 16 months and never left her apartment, not even to walk across the street to the store. Apartment. Office. Apartment. Office. No wonder she didn’t like it very much.
Life is short, so do whatever you want to do. And if you don’t like it, head on to the next thing.
